12/07/2024: It's officially winter here in Montana. I am quite busy with tying flies after flies!!

Took a little break from float trips and spring creeks, instead headed to a smaller stream for walk & wade fishing. Water still runs cold. Trout may not be big all the time but feisty. Actually pickier than I anticipated 😅. Oh and hoppers in Whooper sizes are hopping and singing along the stream now!!
