By now many a US citizen, flyfishers or not, have seen and heard about the historical, if not “biblical”!, floods that are hitting south central Montana. I’d say valley and towns that are adjacent to rivers that originate out of Yellowstone National Park. Photos and videos have been uploaded rapidly during the past 24 hours so I’m not gonna recite here.

Nobody has anticipated this much.

Yes, this will affect our upcoming fishing season. However, before thinking or worrying about the fishing, please understand that many property and houses have just been devastatingly damaged along the rivers. There are many people who have gotten cut off from transportation and communications. So, please send best of prayers and wishes to those who are in the devastating situations right now.

My family and our property are safe and sound. Please inquire me about river/flood conditions and the prospect of fishing.
